Why "Savta"?

Savta is the Hebrew word for "grandmother." When I was growing up, Savta Tamar used to cook the most sumptuous meals, and they always felt like they were cooked especially for me. The older I get, the more that my daily consumption turns to delivery, take-out, and prepared food, the more I miss it. We're starting Savta in honor of the memory of our grandparents, of the love they communicated with every meal, in the hope that we can keep this model alive and relevant for the modern age and our busy lifestyles.
